A Renaming

Help me.

The moment I’ve dreaded for months has finally arrived. The name of this newsletter has got to change. Yep.

I started out this newsletter as a joke because my life no hard like that and I no dey think 😂. As a result, I didn’t put much thought into giving it a distinct name because na who dey think, dey think of name.

Firstly, Hauwa’s Newsletter seemed fine enough and secondly, I suck at crafting titles. I am just generally terrible at it. My first email address was called babypussy@yahoomail.com. That should tell you everything you need to know.

If I was Adam and God told me to name all the animals, He would have chased me out of the Garden Of Eden after finding out I named dog ‘trabaye’.

Me, trying to beg Him not to give me quit notice.

Please don’t be angry, Sky Daddy.

However, I’m now ready to find a title that perfectly encapsulates the sheer insanity that goes on here and naturally, I need your help. Because if you leave it up to me, na wetin your eye see you go collect.

The decision to change the name stemmed from reading more publications (if you’d like for me to read yours, please drop the link below) and just being impressed by how the titles perfectly summarise everything the publication is about.

I want that too but unfortunately, ‘Hauwa’s Newsletter’ doesn't do that.

Hence, the renaming.

I shared this predicament on my IG stories and I actually got some really insane suggestions. Here are only some of them. My favourite so far is DRIP (Don’t Read In Public). #DRIP sheeeeshhhhh. WUIN!
