Die For Nigeria? Are You Mad?

Hey guys, I’m taking a short break from the reveal newsletters to quickly send this out.

The title explains everything I want to say.

I think it’s completely hilarious when things are unstable and security is literally non-existent in the face of violence and you ask people to fight for their right. Are you mad? I saw a tweet from someone urging Nigerians to stay and defend their votes in the presence of area boys and touts.

You must be nuts. I say it again, you must be out of your senses. Activist isonu oshi.

Touts are in front of me with broken bottles and weapons and you’re asking me to stay and fight? Best believe I am going to run and when I get home safe and sound, I will open twitter and heap insults on your head.

What exactly am I choosing to die for? The people that died in the past, did they get justice? Even if I wanted to die, would it not be better to die in my bed than at the hands of people who want to butcher me in the most vile way possible?

Stay and fight for Nigeria? All of you are mad.

And it is not really anyone’s fault but my own. If no be say I dey steady fail IELTS, wetin I wan dey do for this country at this my age? That IELTS woman keeps failing me for no reason. And I know it is because she hates me.

But a day will come, I will pass that their stupid exam and I will run away from this country for all of you.

Die for Nigeria ko. If you don’t get out of my sight before I knock you into the ground. Your head like mango. Fool.

In fact, I am going to go and abuse that fool after I send this letter.

I’m too angry.

That’s how yesterday, my aunty called me to vote for APC. She no even send me N200 card after the call ended so I can even think about it. She just dey command me. Walai, I’m suppose to send boys to her house to just be blowing banger outside her window around that 2am.

Everybody just dey vex me.
