Hey, Hauwa.

Like always, I absolutely love reading your newsletters and this wasn't any different.

Thank you for this newsletter, really. When I started my newsletter, I was terrified. I was used to posting on my WhatsApp story and I was content with that until I discovered a couple of persons using the app and I just jumped the gun and opened one too.

I was so bothered and I was like: Now what? What exactly am I going to be writing about? I'm so used to writing love letters not newsletters. What exactly would be point of my newsletters?

Worse, I had writer's block almost immediately after I launched. It was so bad. I cried.. but after some weeks, I had an inspiration to write and since then, it's been coming.

It still gets difficult getting a topic to write but when I get something to write about, I write and somehow, people love it.. I also get inspired by persons around me; funny content online like yours and it helps me write more and I love it.😅

One hack to my writing is that if I don't love it, I don't put it out there. What I mean is, I'm my biggest cheerleader. I love my writings and hype myself up before others get the chance to. So, if someone doesn't like my work or drop a negative comment, it wouldn't necessarily affect me because I love my work already so nothing anyone says would affect me.

I love all your content, Hauwa. On all social media apps.. even before I joined Twitter, I've been seeing your tweets and it's so funny. You're funny and so talented. I laughed so hard at the Eid celebration video cos even though I'm a Christian, I could relate (my dad's mum is a Muslim lol).

Love you, Hauwa. Cheers to reading and watching your beautiful content.🥰🤍

Hi Hauwa, I loved watching that video about your Eid experience, the other one they stole your power bank and all of your videos. So I’m glad you know there’s nothing wrong with this part of you exploring your creativity. I’m also grateful for your sense of humor and for motivating me to step out of my comfort zone and sell my father’s shoes. Thank you.

Hey Hauwa.

An ex-classmate shared a Tiktok video of yours today, and I exclaimed "wow, Hauwa is now on Tiktok, NICE!"... it's just a pity I don't have a Tiktok account and I don't think I'd ever create one... And I finally got to see your face better than when you unveiled, and I must confess those pictures didn't do you justice at all, girl, you're so fiiiiiiiiine... Please keep writing and doing those videos for us, you kukuma nor mind those contrary criticisms, so na dem sabi... Much love our dearest one and only coakroach inside Kabiru's cupboard 😋😘

You know commenting on posts like these is my own issue and the thing for me is I already constructed the English and commented in my head, so coming out here and still doing same is like "double work" for me 😀.

Anyways.....referring to the twitter comment, I feel like it's probably not a case of they totally hating on the video thingy. It might just be that they prefer the stories and everything that comes with it....you know, the comedy in between....the hilarious comments....the imagination and "living in their fantasy" like you said.

And thank you again for this subtle reminder that I need no man's validation to do "what I want to do". #gbam

I like what you said "We are overtly exposed to comments of people who have no meaningful contributions to our lives, so why should they matter ." (I might have paraphrased a bit)

This is something I will keep remembering

I love your newsletters, they are fresh with dollops of humour. When you write serious, it’s not stilted and laced with arrogance.

If you celebrated Eid, I hope it was good. Eid Mubarak.

😂It's so nice seeing you speak from a sane side of view. And BTW, your Eid Mubarak video was humorous and relatable.
