I really love your writing Hauwa. Your newsletter is just a vibe throughout.
About the Apple Payment, try Geegpay. Their rates are great.
Also? I’m heartbroken too, but crying would be the worst thing ever because why would I even cry?😂😂 the love of my life told me he has a girlfriend. It’s also funny because I never had any intention to date him as we are so different. It’s sad for me regardless.
See! I couldn’t even question it when he told me, because were we dating? No. So where is my question coming from? Said “wow. I’m happy for you” and moved in silence.
First, about the iCloud payment, I also had that issue till I started using Chipper bank/app, I “created” a virtual dollar card that I top up with naira monthly for my iCloud and Apple Music payment…it has not shamed me for over a year yet so you can check it out.
Secondly, the heartbreak part I’m hoping time is kind to you and you heal from it soon. From personal experience, “unrequited feelings” heartbreak has always being the toughest on me but my mother and brother will not let me cry in my room in peace so I end up bottling up my emotions till chezz starts paining me then I plan a random afternoon of premium tears then eat shawarma later.
"Hauwa channel your anger." Lol. As someone who hates being peptalked or even comforted, I would have pushed both her and the car into the bush.
But weird as this may sound, I feel like the fastest way to get over a heartbreak is to feel it. Like, thoroughly feel it. Cry your heart out. Bang your head on the wall. Wail from morning till night.
And then when there are no tears left, you know you're ready to move on.
Hauwa, if you ever stop writing this newsletter ehn, I'll look for your house, drag you to the keyboard and force you to write.
It’s difficult to tell if it’s fiction or reality 😂🥲. You write so well Hauwa, you should write a book on all the sheges you’ve seen in relationships 😂❤️
The part where you pine over them while they've moved on to someone else resonates with me so much. Currently in the same situation. The crazy part about my case is that the girl he moved on to is a fairly popular content creator. So as heartbreak is doing it's own, Instagram algorithm is also doing its own by always suggesting the girl's post.
Wo we will all be alright jare. Heartbreak sucks so much.
The ending part about your brother being in love with a Christian babe got me lol.. here I am as a 30s woman who changed denomination and my mum in conjunction with her sibling and over zealous church members has been calling fire and brimstone on the heads of me and our last born. I just kikikiki erry weekend; she never start o, if I finally end up marrying the Yoruba guy I like nko? Tears will flow that's for sure and honestly idc.
Thanks for the read Hauwa, it was quite relatable.
This is so nice to read. I remember the first time I thought I was in a relationship, everything crashed and I realized that I had been dating me all along. It's too bad to be heartbroken.

He added "we were never in an actual relationship"😅
